Had an inspection with Mr Yohann Ouellette. Upon arrival, he was already ahead of schedule. From the start of the inspection to the end, he was very professional. Throughout the whole experience, he took the time to explain me everything in detail as we went forward. He also gave me tips and advice for any little thing he saw. It was my first time hiring someone for an inspection and I was very pleased with his work. This is what an inspector should be like. The person i spoke on the telephone for the appointment was very informative and their time is very flexible. Thanks to the whole team. I got a beautiful home

I requested an inspector to come with a thermal imaging camera to give me advice on where and how to better insulate my attic bedroom. Gerry came round within a couple of days, identified the issues and gave me helpful advice, which I have acted on, and which I believe will make a big difference. My inspection was done by Alexander Funshtein. It took place very quickly. As soon as I saw the report I felt like it was not as thorough as others I had seen throughout my home purchasing journey. As time went on I referred back to the report for information (such as the location of the water shut off valve) and it stated it could not be found when it is in a very obvious location and the plumber found it immediately. It also wrote that the drain could not be found in the basement when it was uncovered in the middle of the floor. When I asked about it I received general information about drains and was told to have a plumber look when he comes for other things. As I’ve had various professionals come in to do renovations, they pointed things out to me that should have been in the report (such as a large raise in the middle of the dining room floor due to the fact that a basement wall was not installed properly and it pushed the beam up, pipe issues that were not mentioned, the wrong type of material on the dryer exhaust fan (plastic plumbing which was sticking out of the wall at the time of inspection) and more. There was no mention of the condition of windows, despite me mentioning it. Despite the fact that it was a visual and not exhaustive inspection all of these things were clearly visible.

I asked the receptionist is inspector will have moisture meter and she said YES.The inspector came and never took out the meter from his bag. After I asked if he is going to use moisture meter he said he would use it if he had seen any sign of moisture! He said he wouldn’t use it without any signs as it makes the same sound on metal as on moisture!I asked if he checked for moisture in the closets and he said YES whereas I was with him the whole time and he never opened even one closet!A part of the window frame was taped and he said he would like to see below the tape but he can’t remove it because “if he breaks it, he has to buy it”.A few times I had to ask him to take photos to include in the report!I paid 600 CAD for an inspection which worth not even 100 bucks! I will have to do another inspection!

Carol did a great job with my condo inspection and I couldn't be more happy with her work! I was particularly impressed with how thorough she was, and how she took the time to explain everything that needed to be done, what was urgent, what could wait, and why.
