The Home Inspection Report
In this page we will discuss how Mose handles the home inspection report.
A professional home inspection is conducted based on industry standards of practice. At Mose Home Inspection Services we base ourselves on is the ASHI & Inter-NACHI standards of practice. On this page we use the term “home” but the following equally applies to condominiums as well.
A home inspection is only as good as the report that is produced by the inspector after they have reviewed their notes and photo log of the survey.
At Mose Home Inspection Services we go to great lengths to make sure that when we write our reports we don’t just fill in the blanks on a form. We believe it is our job to give the home buyer a valuable manual that describes the major systems of the home and how to manage its maintenance.
Why is Your Home Inspection Report Important?
For most people buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions they will ever make. There are many sources of information that can help you with that decision. However, none of them are specifically aimed at your particular home of choice, except your home inspection report.
The following is the official guideline of the information a home inspection report is supposed to provide you;
“A general home inspection report shall identify, in written format, defects within specific systems and components defined by these Standards that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector. Inspection reports may include additional comments and recommendations.” – InterNACHI
What Type of Report Do You Get?
You will receive your prospective home’s Mose Home Inspection Services report by email in PDF format. All photos are in full color and any issues are clearly marked by notations on the photos. The PDF is searchable making it easy for you to refer back to the report in the future when you want to. Mose Home Inspection Services keeps back ups of your report so in the unlikely event you lose your report you can let us know and we will send a copy to you at no charge.
